Mumbai: Great companies came forward to honour the achievements of women entrepreneurs. Guru Nanak Sahib Ji Women Entrepreneurs Award 2019 awards were presented to various women entrepreneurs today.
This Award is dedicated to 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Sahib Ji whose teachings are Universal in nature and touch the needs of humanity as such. Talking about womenfolk, he has been very vocal that they should be treated EQUALLY in all walks of life. Great Companies is giving light to the small women entrepreneurs to deliver their success story to all over India. This platform for them is to share their struggle and encourage other women who have the potential to run her own business. One of the famous teachings of Guru Nanak Sahib Ji is “Why do we demean her, great kings too are born from a women”.
Great companies along with Sewak Jatha Dadar have rewarded 150 women across the globe on Women’s Day to honour their achievements. Out of the 58.5 million entrepreneurs in India, only 14% are women. Only 2% of start-up funding went to a woman founder. Women entrepreneurs in India either lack social acceptance or struggle for funds for their business ventures.
